AND LAST...ABOUT ME

NAPLES IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK
Naples has no theme parks, just pristine beaches and small town lifestyle. Instead of souvenir shops there are unique specialty shops, boutiques and galleries. Lodgings for visitors range from small inns to a world-class resort. It’s a one-of-a-kind place to visit and a wonder place to live.

Once a quaint fishing town, Naples now welcomes thousands of vacationers and winter residents each year. Accredited as a “top” community by such magazines as Forbes and Men’s Health and depicted as “Florida’s Choice City” by The New York Times – the world is discovering what Neapolitans have long known….Naples is simply America’s best city to live and work.

Naples is best known for its gorgeous stretch of white sandy beaches that offer a constant playground for sun worshippers all over the world. The most famous landmark is The Naples Pier which stretches 1,000 feet out into the Gulf of Mexico. Many residents and visitors come to the pier each night – just before sunset. As the sun begins to set, people pack the pier to watch the sky turn colors over the Naples’ horizon.

The Naples area is truly the cultural center of southwest Florida. With over 35 art organizations and more than 100 art galleries, Naples has some of the finest cultural offerings available anywhere. Over 1,000 visual and performing artists call this area home. There are street festivals, canoe racing, outdoor art fairs, performances by concert bands and more. Attend a free jazz concert in the park, or enjoy the magnificent Naples Philharmonic Orchestra…it’s all right here!

For the past 20 years, Naples has been considered one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas of the country, showing a population growth of 65 percent during the 1990s. The workforce increased by 37 percent in the 90s. More than 3,700 new occupational licenses were issued during 2000. Their median age is 44.1, reflecting the ongoing migration of working-age men and women.

Naples provides excellent educational opportunities for all ages. New elementary and high schools are being built to accommodate the influx of families moving to the area. For advanced education there are several excellent choices: Florida Gulf Coast University, Edison Community College, International College and the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology.

Naples has a progressive medical community. Naples Community Hospital Healthcare System is the center of the area’s healthcare facilities. NCH has more than 500 physicians and services 2 hospitals and 26 satellite facilities. Cleveland Clinic provides routine care and specializes in diagnosis and treatment of complex medical condition requiring extended care. Naples also offers many facilities offering assisted living, and independent lifestyle opportunities.

For visitors, retirees, business owners and growing families, Naples is PARADISE.
